Marcelo reiterated the fact that the league is far from over and admitted that the team needs to improve its accuracy on goal during today's press conference.
La Liga chances:
"Of course we have a shot. It is a tough competition. A five point deficit is quite large, but very surmountable. There are a lot of matches left and I think we can make it to the end. Barcelona appear invincible but they are not. I don't know where their weak point lies, but I think we will eventually find it."
Recent defeat:
"We must learn from our mistakes. There have been some matches in which we have taken a lot of shots on goal, but the ball didn't go in. We need to fine tune our accuracy, but we are playing well."
Cristiano Ronaldo:
"He helps the team in every match. He scored a lot of goals in very few matches early in the season. He isn't in bad form. It is just a matter of time. He may score two or three in the next match."
Playing as a midfielder:
"I like playing as a midfielder, but the coach knows that I am still a left back."
Criticism:
"I am used to negative feedback. You always have a target on your back when playing for Real Madrid, but it doens't bother me. I do what I can to help the team. I don't play to please the media."
More wing play:
"Every match is different. In some we try to play along the wings to create space in the middle. In others we play in the middle and create room on the flanks."
Kaka:
"I think he is doing well. He isn't in top form, but he is very committed and he is working hard to improve. Many people question him, but they did the same with Zidane. It is a matter of time."
